Welcome to the Member Marketplace, a space created for Unifor Local 531 members to share their businesses, services, creative work, and community fundraisers. Our goal is to support one another — whether you’re running a small business, offering a service, or seeking help for a personal cause.

Posting Guidelines

To keep this space respectful, relevant, and helpful for all members, please follow these simple rules:

  1. For Members Only – Posts must be submitted by active or retired Unifor Local 531 members.
  2. Appropriate Content – All listings must reflect our union’s values of respect, inclusion, and solidarity. No political, discriminatory, or offensive content will be accepted.
  3. No Third-Party Ads - This page is not for outside businesses or organizations that are not owned / operated by a active or retired member of Unifor Local 531.
  4. Transparency - Clearly describe your business, service, or fundraiser. Include contact information and any necessary disclaimers.
  5. No Misrepresentation – Members are responsible for ensuring all information shared is accurate and up to date.
  6. Submissions– Posts can be submitted by using the form provided which will be reviewed by the Recording Secretary or designate for approval before being published.
  7. Duration – Listings will remain posted for 60 days unless renewed or removed by request. If your posting has been removed after 60 days, a new form must be submitted to be reposted.
  8. Fundraising - legitimate fundraisers must benefit the local community, a registered charity or a member or immediately family member facing hardship (such as illness, injury or loss).  GoFundMe or similar personal fundraisers are permitted only when they clearly state the purpose, intended recipient(s) and use of funds.  Fundraisers cannot be used to support political candidates, personal businesses, or any activity that would generate personal profit. Only fundraisers that benefit registered charities, community projects, or causes directly supporting the public good are allowed. Fundraisers will remain posted for 60 days unless otherwise approved or removed at the member's request. Unifor Local 531 does not endorse or manage any fundraisers listed on this page.  
  9. To renew or remove any listing, please contact the Recording Secretary at @email.

To have your Marketplace submission considered, please click on the link to complete this form.  You will be contacted by the Recording Secretary or designate if further information is required.  We will endeavor to post all submissions within 7 days of receiving them.  

Disclaimer

All members submitting a listing must complete the Marketplace Submission Form.  This form confirms that the information provided is accurate and that the business, service or project listed is legitimate and personally operated by the member.  

Unifor Local 531 reserves the right to verify submissions, edit descriptions for clarity or formatting and decline listings that do not align with union values or these guidelines.  

Participation in the Member Marketplace does not imply endorsement by Unifor Local 531 or Unifor National.  Members are encouraged to exercise their own discretion when engaging with listed services or fundraisers.  Unifor Local 531 is not responsible for any misrepresentation.
